I am showcasing Borderline stamp set and Mini Bookplate die.  I combined Verve's Tag Time and Blue Skies stamp sets along with Verve's Curvy Bookplate die.

First of all, I just have to say I just love all of the dies and stamps releasing tomorrow night.  However, if I have to pick a favorite, I am just in LOVE with these little layering mini dies and stamp frames.  Oh, my word!  It has taken much will power to not use them on every card this week(I did use them on several ;0))!  Trust me when I say these are all truly must haves.  You will  reach for them time and time again.

As for my card details, I started with some fun papers Spring Fling by Teresa Collins.  I layered my colors.  The solid red paper in the center I stamped with Memento rhubarb ink the row of outlined hearts that come in the set to create my own tonal heartfelt dp.  Pun intended!  I stitched and lightly ink distressed all the edges.

For my focal image I die cut the Curvy Bookplate die three times, stamped the frame from Tag Time using Memento Rhubarb ink on to all three.  I then used the flourished image from Blue Skies to stamp toward the edge of two.  I then layered all three to create a fun larger formed focal frame.  Next,  I die cut both Mini Bookplate dies.  One is slightly larger than the other.  The larger one I used some of coordinating dp.  The smaller one uses cream card stock.  I stamped the new mini frame that comes in Borderline using Memento rhubarb ink.  I stamped one of the sentiments.  I chose hugs from afar for this card.  Isn't it just sweet!

I finished my card with some sporadic positioned silver pearls and topped the card off with some coordinating seam binding and button with twine knot.

Kind Hearts and a Graduation Picture!

Happy Friday!  It has been a busy week at the Wright household.  Erica graduated from high school Saturday, June 9th.  We had a cookout in her honor on Sunday.  On Tuesday, she got her wisdom teeth extracted.  So, needless to say she has truly been on an emotional roller coaster this week.  Busy times for sure.  Things have finally started to settle down a bit.  I finally found a few moments in my crafty space to make a few cards to post within the next few days.

Erica Wright High School Graduation June 9, 2012

Here is a picture of our Erica!  Please forgive the quality of the shot.  So many people hugging, crying, screaming, and laughing around us. I tried to crop some of the white noise out so to speak.  Erica had been crying as well.  However, she was still grinning from ear to ear.   A wonderful day, but still truly an emotional one as well for ALL OF US! Look at all her honor cords and medallions!  We are so very proud of her.

Okay, back to the card.  Thanks for letting me share a bit of my life with you all!  For this card, I am using ODBD  Kind Hearts from the Blessings Collection and Bird Borders and Corners.   I think this card is pretty much a CAS style for me.  Playing along with ODBD Shining the Light Challenge (ODBDSLC111).  Something Old (paper), Something New(Spellbinder's 22 die), Something Gifted (pearls from my dd Erica...thanks baby girl), and something blue (paper/card stock).

I am using some Teresa Collins designer paper.  I wanted to go with an all navy look with just a pop of some ivory.  I layered some  Spellbinder's dies.  I stamped the image from  the Bird Borders and Corners with some sky ink and over stamped with some enchanted evening ink.  I ink distressed the edges and finished with some halfback pearls.  Love the clean and simple design.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

For my card I am using ODBD Eternity stamp set along with ODBD Custom Elegant Oval Spellbinder dies.  I included a quote from As You Graduate stamp set.

I decided to combine kraft with soft yellow and cream for this card.   I stamped the frame into onto cream cardstock using kraft ink.  The kraft frame I used vintage cream ink.  I die cut both and ink distressed the edges.  For the cream one, I sponged Ranger scattered straw ink.  I stamped the quote using a Stamp a ma jig for perfect placement.  I finished with dyed seam binding bow, flower, stick pin, and another quote using the Eternity set.

Congrats Grad- Go Confidently!

Happy Tuesday!  I have a Verve card to share with you today using this week's Mojo238 Sketch!  I had a fun time choosing the background paper for all these squares. I ended using words as there was a bit of a fun challenge in putting the paper back together like a puzzle.  I really thought this paper worked well for a graduation card.

For this card I am using one of the newly released Verve sets Small Celebrations along with Words of Wisdom stamp set.  I am also using Verve's Cut Above Wavy Hearts die set.

I decided to go somewhat simple with the design.   I pretty much just followed the sketch and did not really add much by way of embellishments except for a button and key charm.   I did ink distress the image and papers to create some depth.  I just wanted the paper and sentiments do all the talking literally for this card.   I finished with the Congrats Grad sentiment stamped on the heart with a dangling key charm all attached with a single button.   I love the finish look!

Go Green with GREEN and MORE!

Happy Sunday!  It is a rainy Sunday here in my part of North Carolina.  A little chilly too with temps around 58 degrees.  I must say it is a good day to spend in the craft room, though!  Hee Hee!    I have an ODBD card to share with you today.  I am playing along with this week's Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC105).  This week is to "Go Green."  Literally, we can make a predominantly green card or use something recycled.  Well, I chose to do both.  It is the simple choices that are so difficult...lol!

For my card I am using ODBD God's Love, 2 Step Butterflies, and Quote Collection 1 along with the Grunge Butterfly die.  This card is pretty clean and simple for me.  I have been moving more into that direction lately.

I layered some designer  papers in patterns of green and stamped my image.  I inked distressed the edges.   For my recycle element I pulled the top layer off of some corrugated cardboard and inked distress the edges and layered with the focal image so some of the corrugated distressed texture would show.

I added some May Arts lace.  I added a heart clip to the top that  I colored black with a sharpie.  I finished with some black gems in the center of my layered butterfly.    I love the finished look.  To my surprise I did not even think it need a big honking bow!  Wonders of wonders!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
