December Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Happy Tuesday!  I finally had a chance to get crafty.  Bittersweet since all of my Christmas company has left now.   I just had to make a card for this month's PTI Blog Hop Challenge!

For my card I focused on the background colors and just one main flower with a few tiny buds.

I die cut and stamped the large flower and buds from Especially You and white embossed.  I colored with ranger inks using an aqua brush.  I die cut a decorative edge into my simply chartreuse card stock.  I stamped the panel using Background Basics: Celestial Skies to mimic background greenery detailing using simply chartreuse ink.

I added arranged my flowers with the center using foam tape.  I also popped up the background panel to accent the decorative edge from Edgers to the Point dies. I die cut the huge hugs die three times and glued together for added dimension.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

November Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!  I am popping in with a card to share.   I am playing along with this month's PTI Blog Hop Challenge!

For my card I focused on the centerpiece of the table.  I used Friendship Flowers stamp set and coordinating die set.

I stamped prairie grass and olive twist inks to create the leafy foliage.  I die cut this image and layered several times.  I die cut several times the word "together" to create my focal sentiment.

I used gold foil for the top piece.  I layered a piece of praire grass bitty big to the top of my cardbase.  I chose not to use any of the floral images in the set.  Instead, I added a few gold pearls for accenting.

From Our Home to Yours!

Happy Sunday!  Only two days of school this coming week. I am looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday.  I am popping in with a card to share for this week's Papertrey Ink Create Along With Us Challenge.

I chose to use Laurie Schmidlin's card here for my inspiration.

First of all, I just love the colors and how Laurie did the stenciling and stamping background.

I chose to make a Christmas card so I used an assortment of Christmas inspired images.

Thanksgiving Blessings!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a card to share.  I am playing along with Fusion Card Challenge.

I decided to use the sketch and the inspiration piece for my card.  I started with Verve's Autumn Leaves stamp set.  I used the swirly image in this set to create a subtle background like the one in the inspiration photo. I stamped the image using versamark onto grout gray card stock.

Next, I die cut a white stitched frame using Falling Leaves die set.   For my focal image, I used Autumn Blessings stamp set and Autumn Thanks die set.  I die cut and copic colored the image. I die cut a few more wreaths and layerd three together for some added dimension.

I also die cut stamped, and copic colored a few of the extra sprigs included in the set to add an extra touch to the wreath at the bottom.

For the sentiment, I cut a strip of black card stock to work with the sketch.  I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Blessings set in versamark and white embossed.  To finish my card I added a few amber and brown gems from my stash as well as some wink of stella on the wreath leaves.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Cider!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

For the challenge, I chose to go with some cider colors.  I love the warm tones with pops of burgandy berry colors.  I started with white linen paper.  To follow along with this week's CASE this Sketch ChallengeI sponged on some tumbled glass oxide ink to create the half circle background.  I spritzed on some water and blotted dry to create some color variation and texture.   I also added some white water copic white water spatters for added effect and dimension.

Next, I stamped and die cut the beautiful berries branches autumn branch set using stamper select white in shades of cocoa bean, prairie grass, saffron spice, and scarlet jewel.  I added a little bit of olive twist to some of the leaves. I stamped the image from the same set going for a two-toned effect on the "thankful" word using saffron spice and scarlet jewel.  The rest of the sentiment I used cocoa bean. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
