Verve's August Diva Inspirations Hop!

Welcome to Verve's August Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our August inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

Our August challenge is Sequined Stunner:

Sequins are the perfect embellishment - sparkly, affordable and with lots of texture. Add some sequins to your project this month to make it a sequined stunner! Feel free to use the graphic as inspiration or not.

For my card I am using Echo Park's Splendid Sunshine designer papers.  I combined Verve's Be Blessed and Better Together stamp sets along with Verve's Petal Point and  Sprightly Sprigs Cut Above Dies.

Deconstructed Sketch 162 I stamped a double sentiment in night of navy ink.  I added a multicolored layered background from Better Together behind the sentiments using a soft aqua, yellow, and pink ink.  Love how that little bit of color just adds so much.   I die cut, stamped, and white embossed the layered flowers.  I used some foam dimensionals to create more depth with the layered flower.  I tucked in some of the same designer papers using the sprightly sprigs dies.  I decided I liked the pink leaves!   I finished with a border of sequins using Verve's Shine Brightly Sequin Mix.  I also added a few to the center of the flower as well as a few to the top corner of the card.  I am using Deconstructed Sketch 162.

Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop!

Welcome to Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to put a string in your step! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!

Our March challenge is Spring Has Sprung:

It's time to ditch the winter blues! Create a card that sings Spring using inspirational quotes, pretty colors,  florals,  or themes that celebrate new life.
Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or blaze your own trail,
just show us what spring means to you!

When I think Spring, I think warm weather, leafy trees, walks in the park, and a rebirth of nature.  One of my favorite spring colors is peach!  I used Echo Parks Victoria dp.   To create my Spring theme on my card, I combined Verve's Beautiful YouBountiful Backgrounds, Autumn SplendorSunny Days, and Christmas in the Air stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Flag It, Rounded Rectangle, and Rounded Scallop Frame dies.  I finished my card with a seam binding bow in Tangerine using Verve's Spring Fling Ribbon Collection.   I am using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 335.

Blessings on your Birthday, C4C and a CASE!

Happy Saturday!   It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the blog for more challenge details with the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C170).

This week we are
"Raising the Bar!"

This week’s challenge is dedicated to Bar, our very own Crazy Team Member! She had hand surgery earlier this month.   While she worked diligently prior to surgery to create beautiful cards for the challenges ahead of time, the past few weeks she has been unable to get crafty at all while her hand heals so we are “Raising the Bar” with a CASE!

Check out her blog, Paper Pursuits
and choose a card or
project to CASE!

For my card I am using ODBD newly released Antique Label Designs,  All Occasion Sentiments, and Antique Labels & Border Spellbinders dies on this card.

I totally had a blast perusing Bar's blog to find a card to CASE.  It was so hard to choose that I finally had to minimize my choices to the ones she has for sale on Etsy.   I chose to CASE this card of Bar's.  I mixed together some papers, stitching,  flourished pearls,  and finished with a seam binding bow topped with button.  I love how a decorative stamped frame, coordinating die, and a few embellishments complete a whole card

Feel better, Bar!  You are in my thoughts and prayers!  Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
