Welcome Children!

This card is for this week's SCS sketch challenge(SC224). Thanks, Roxie for a wonderful sketch.

I have had very little crafting time this week with dh home on vacation, but I just loved this sketch. It is a few days late, but I just had to do a card using this sketch. I am using the April release ODBD set called Children of God. I love this set. The scriptures are all about children along with some children related sentiments. Very versatile. I decided to create a baby boy and a baby girl card. Kept them pretty simple and just let the image and scripture speak for themselves.

Instead of using dp or stamping images for the two horizontal strips that are behind the main panel, I opted to use white strips that were embossed with different textures. I mounted the two white strips to a solid blue or pink piece. I added gingham and attached to the background. The images of Jesus with the children was stamped in ink color and used at full strength. I did not stamp them off. I stamped the scripture in black ink to make it pop. I added the pearls in the corner for my finishing touch. Can you believe it? I did not sponge anything.
