PageMaps September Sketches are HERE!

Hello everyone!  I have a very special post today!  I am super excited to share with you a card I designed using one of Becky Fleck's cardmap sketches  Every quarter, Becky Fleck of PageMaps dishes out 10 fabulous sketches to get those creative juices flowing with her CardMaps. Well, this month Becky asked some of the lovely ladies from Flourishes to do the honors to take her sketches to bring CardMaps to life with beautiful and creative samples for each and every sketch. To check out PageMaps CardMaps for September, click here.   The sketch to the right is the one I was sent to work with!

I am using Flourishes Fanciful Flourishes and Humming Along (quote) sets.  The main focus of the card was the top panel.  I layered a Martha Stewart border punch.  I used a cb ef to add more texture.   I combined colors of ivory, regal rose, rose red, and some green.   I used a floral designer paper(October Afternoon thrift store) to pick up on the design in the punch edge panel.  I sponged the edges and added some of this wonderful lace and velvet layered ribbon. The combination I feel gives a vintage feel.   I stamped the quote and one of the smaller damask images from the Fanciful Flourishes set.  I finished my card with a coordinating butterfly and gold pearls.  I tried to focus on simplicity with this sketch as the card is a vertical 5 X 7.  You can click on photo for closer view.

Please check out the other Flourishes designers to see which PageMaps cardmap sketch they got to work with and what they created!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
