Kind Words!

Happy Saturday!  I have a Verve card to share with you today.  I am using this week's Mojo234 sketch.   I guess I should say I tried to follow the sketch.  I am not sure what it is with me and sketches, but try as I might I have the most difficult time following them to be sure.  I literally see the sketch and interpret it different or something.  When I finish and take a look at the sketch, I go "huh"?   There have been times when I miss a whole panel and have to go back and add it back in.  I guess when the right side of the brain wants to make a card the left just needs to step aside.  Anyway, this is truly my take on the sketch.  Do I hear sirens?  Sketch police?  LOL!

For my card today I am using Verve's Thinking of You and Bloom and Grow stamp sets.    I also combined Verve's Cut Above All Aflutter and Flutterby dies.  The small leafy stem from Bloom and Grow was used to stamp touches in tonal hues around focal image for some added dimension.  Very subtle, but I love the finished look.

I am out of town in Charlotte, NC for my son's Odyssey of the Mind team's state competition.  Woo Hoo!  Go Team! We are all so very proud of all of them.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Betty

  1. Betty, you're so funny! I think you followed the sketch pretty closely. Love your ribbon and butterfly element. That can be your substitute for the extra square panel, just moved up a bit. Hey, it looks fabulous to me! Really a gorgeous card!

  4. What lovely colors and paper you have used...the stitching just adds wonderful texture. Fab background die to your sentiment which looks just terrific with the flowers stamped on it...and what an adorable butterfly ties it all together.
