Happy Birthday and MORE!

Happy Saturday!  I am popping in with a few cards to share.  For this first card I am playing along with MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge, MFT Color Challenge, Just Us Girls (sentiment as focal point), and Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes).

I started with MFT Blueberry, Wild Wisteria, Limelight, ans Smooth White card stock.   I LOVE the NEW COLORS!  I stamped the blueberry panel with fine check background using Premium blueberry ink.   I die cut the pierced square stax with blueberry.  I die cut the wild wisteria with a smaller pierced square stax to layer according to sketch.  This wild wisteria
panel I stamped with pinstripe background stamp using premium wild wisteria ink.  Next, I used Tag Builders #3 Blueprints to die cut the pierced scalloped frame using smooth white card stock.   I stamped this panel with MFT Birthday Greetings stamp set using blueberry ink.  I stamped it again at the bottom using MFT Happy Everything stamp set using wild wisteria ink.  I die cut a pierced star stax using silver foil card stock.  I then die cut limelight card stock with Happy die namics.
I stamped the word with Happy Birthday background stamp using Premium limelight ink.   I finished my card with a few silver sequins.

For this card I am playing along with Retro Sketch, Fusion Card Challenge(inspiration), Colour Q, and Simon Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes).

I just love the inspiration photo with all the different sizes and colors of hearts.  The embossed frame heart caught my eye, too!  I started with MFT card stock in smooth white, ripe raspberry, electric red, and peach bellini. The card base is electric red.  I die cut the stitch panel using Blueprints 15 in smooth white.  I stamped this panel with diagonal stripe background stamp using grout gray ink.   I cut the grout gray panel from Blueprints 10 and used Blueprints 9  to die cut the hole and the hole enforcer. For the outline stitched heart I used Tag Builders 3 Blueprints.  I used all of these components to create my tag and heart elements in the colors listed.  I finished with a hemp cord bow.

For card 3, I am playing along with CASe this Sketch, Always Playing with Paper Color Challenge, ShowCASe Your Style, and Simon Monday Challenge (clouds).

This card is  very CAS for me!  I started with MFT smooth white card stock.  I stamped the background with Striped background stamp using Lemon Chiffon ink.  I die cut the  pierced rectangle stax with blu raspberry.  I stamped this panel with  MFT Blue Skies Ahead stamp set in Hybrid Black Licorice ink.   Instead of hot air balloons, I used Layered Umbrella die namics.  I layered three together for extra stability.  I added some clouds from Cloud Cover Up and finished with a few sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

You Bring Out the Best in Me!

I have a couple of cards to share today!   For the first card, I am playing along with Retro Sketches and The ColourQ.

I started with MFT card stock in smooth white, kraft, ripe raspberry, hot fudgesno cone, and gumball green.    I card base is smooth white.  I stamped the base using MFT Pinstriped Background stamp in Premium Sno Cone ink.  I die cut the square kraft panel using MFT Blueprints 14.  I stamped this panel using MFT Fine Check Background in versamark ink to create a soft diffused background.  I love the subtle soft texture.  I inked the edges with versamark to create some added richness and depth.  To follow the sketch, I used MFT Stitchable Dot Circle Stax to create a ring around the top.  I lined this with ripe raspberry card stock.  I used MFT Tag Builder #1 Blueprints.  I cut the tag in smooth white and sno cone.  I die cut gumball green card stock with Stitched Snowdrifts dienamics.

I used Out on a Limb dienamics with Hot Fudge card stock to die cut a tree trunk.  I used ripe raspberry card stock and Tag Builders #3 Blueprints and die cut some hearts.  I used versamark to ink each heart for added dimension.  I glued each of the hearts and added some foam tape to a back of a few to give added depth.  For the white tag, I stamped it with ripe raspberry ink with MFT diagonal striped background.  I used some foam tape to adhere the two tags together.  I tied the top with some twine.  I used more foam tape to pop up the layered tag focal point.   I stamped the sentiment using You Have My Heart stamp set with Licorice Black Hybrid ink.   I love the way it turned out!

For my second card, I am playing along with this week's MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge and The Color Throwdown.

I started with MFT kraft, smooth white, gumdrop green, ripe raspberry, cotton candy, and blu raspberry card stocks.  I die cut the kraft layer using Blueprints 20 to get the scalloped edging.  I die cut the panel again with Blueprints 13 to make it smaller and get a stitched edging on three sides.

I stamped this panel with Notebook Paper background stamp using versamark.  Again, I wanted it to look subtle.   I used the Blueprints 20 again to die cut the zigzag stitched twice to comply with the sketch.  I used Vertical Strips die namics to cut the gumdrop green panel.  I used Lots of Love dienamics to die cut the XOXO in silver foil card stock and layered with blu raspberry card stock.   I die cut ripe raspberry card stock used the Stitchable Hearts dienamics.  I stamped this panel with Premium ripe raspberry ink using Romantic Script background.  I used cotton candy card stock die cut with All My Love die namics using the coordinating All My Love stamp set using pink lemonade premium ink.  I used foam tape to pop up both of these hearts and to add dimension.   I finished the card with a few silver sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

PTI January 2015 Blog Hop!

I am playing along with this month's PTI January 2015 Blog Hop!   This month's theme is HEARTS!

I loved all the colors.  I chose to go a bit vintage with this card.  I got my inspiration from the second picture on the left.  I started with rustic white base.  I inked distressed with the Chamomile vintage ink.  I added a die cut stitched grout gray panel. I inked the edges of this panel as well.    I stamped this panel using the same distressed ink with Background Basics Postmarks.
I die cut the doily die in sweet blush.  I cut it in half and inked the edges with versamark for some depth of color.  I used the Tag Sale #4.   I die cut the heart outline die from Shaker and Sprinkles Make It Market kit and backed with a poppy tag die.  I added some flowers from The Sweet Life stamp set.  I tied a linen twill knot to the top.  I added some foam tape to pop it up a bit.   The sentiment is from the With All My Heart set.   I finished with some stitched white buttons.

I am also playing along with The Card Concept.  I  love these colors.   I went vintage freestyle collage with this card.

As always thanks so much for hopping by!

BE MINE and I Love You Just the Way You Are!

I had a few moments to get crafty today in between house cleaning and running errands.  I have two cards to share!  For my first card I am playing along with The Fusion Card Challenge(sketch), Stampin' Celebration Challenge  inspiration photo.

I decided to make a stitchable heart shaker to add to my card.  I was inspired by the cookies and the heart streamers.  I am using MFT Stamps products.  I started with MFT Electric Red, Cotton Candy, and Smooth White card stock.  I have an electric red card base.  The smooth white panel and cotton candy panel were die cut with the stitch frames from Blueprints 15 and Blueprints 13.  I stamped the cotton candy panel with Fine Check Background in Pink Lemonade premium ink.  I die cut the Stitchable Heart Stax in electric red, smooth white, and vellum.  I stamped the electric red heart using Romantic Script background in Smooth White pigment ink.

For the stitchable heart shaker, I initially stitched two vellum panels together, but I did not like the way it looked.  I decided for this card a vellum front and smooth white back worked better.   I used embroidery floss to stitched the heart panels together. Before I finished the stitching, I stuffed the heart shaker with electric red and cotton candy pieces I die cut from Tag Builders Blueprints 3.  I used Blueprints 20 to die cut the stitched sentiment fishtail flag in electric red and smooth white.  I also used the word die from Tag Builders Blueprints 3.  I layered the smooth white over the electric red.  I completed my card with a few sequins.

For my second card, I am playing along with The Paper Players, Sweet Sunday Sketch, and ShowCASe Your Style.

This is just a fun card using some bold colors.  I love these colors.  The room is gorgeous! I started with MFT smooth white, licorice black, blu raspberry, and limelight.   The base is licorice black, the limelight panel was die cut with Blueprints 15 stitched frame.  I stamped this panel with Cheesecloth background using versa mark.   I die cut the the blu raspberry panel using Stitched Rounded Rectangles Stax.    I stamped the sentiment from Love You More stamp set using versa mark and heat embossed with black ep. I added the black flag from Blueprints 18.  I stamped this flag with Fine Check background using versamark.  It is very subtle.  I die cut and layered two white hearts using Tag Builders Blueprints 3.  I finished with a few sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking of You and LOVE You!

I am popping in again today with two more cards to share.  I had some time last night to get crafty so I whipped up a few cards.  For this first card, I am playing along with this week's MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge and The Color Throwdown.

I started with MFT Smooth White, Sno Cone, Banana Split, Wild Wisteria, Factory Green, and Persimmon card stocks.   The card base is smooth white.  I die cut the wild wisteria scallop panel with Blueprints 20.   I stamped this panel using Damask Background stamp in Wild Wisteria premium ink.  I ink distressed the edges with versamark.

Next, I die cut another wild wisteria panel using Modern Morocco Cover Up dienamics.   I layered over the scallop background to create some interest and texture.  I then die cut the peek a boo scalloped border from Blueprints 14  twice.  I stamped these scalloped borders using Pinstripe Background Stamp in Wild Wisteria premium ink  I lined the back of peek a boo edging with some sno cone card stock.  I inked the edges with some versamark to add some depth and richness.

For the focal image I die cut the Damask Designs die namics in sno cone and stamped the coordinating image from Damask Designs stamp set using Sno Cone Premium Ink.  I die cut the Pierced Oval Stax for my sentiment using smooth white.  I stamped the sentiment from Out On A Limb stamp set using Licorice Black Hybrid Ink.  I layered a double ended stitched flag behind it using Persimmon card stock that was die cut with Blueprints 2.  I die cut the flower and leaves using Blueprints 12.  I stamped the flower and leaves with Romantic Script Background stamp using versamark.  I assembled and popped it up with a dimensional.   I finished the card with a few sequins.

Card 2 ~  LOVE!

Card 2 is an extreme opposite from the first card.   I went totally CAS on this one and had a whole lot of white space leftover at the end.  I did not know what to do with so much white space! Yikes!      I am playing along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch, The Curtain Call inspiration challenge, and Colour Q!

The Curtain Call and Colour Q colors were so similar this week that I decided to combine these. I also decided to flip the sketch.  I hope that is allowed!   I started with MFT Wild Wisteria, Nightshift Blue, Razzle Berry, and Berrylicious card stocks.  The card base is wild wisteria.   I stamped this panel using Linen Background stamp in versamark.  I chose versamark because I wanted it to be a soft texture.  I was also trying to mimic the scarf texture  from the inspiration picture.  The smooth white panel I die cut with Blueprints 15 to get the stitched framing.

I die cut this panel with LOVE dienamics.  I had to cut this panel with each additional color and trim the letters. When I glued the colored letters to the white panel I offset them a bit to give some white shadow drop letter effect.  Love how that turned out.  I die cut the "you"  twice from Words of Gratitude dienamics using Nightshift Blue card stock.  I glued these together for added stability and dimension.  I finished the card with a trio of iridescent sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Friend!

Happy Sunday!  I am popping in with a card to share.  I am playing along with Retro Sketch and The Card Concept  One Year Anniversary Inspiration Challenge.

The inspiration piece is absolutely gorgeous!  I was inspired by the flowers and colors.  I started with Carta Bella Baby Mine dp.  I cut this panel with a stitched frame.  I ink distressed the edges ever so lightly with some Ranger Antique Linen.  I used a Doodlebug Designs paper doily that I inked with some Antique linen.  I die cut this panel with the same stitched frame as the floral panel so they would line up.  Next, I  used die cut Verve's Rounded Scallop frame die twice in a rustic white card stock.  I stamped the top panel with Verve's Making A Statement stamp set using coordinating stamp in a soft blue.  The inspiration piece has a touch of blue in it.  I glued the two panels together for added stability.

The inside portion of this die I stamped using Verve's Inspire Hope stamp set.   For the sentiments I used Hello Friend Plain Jane and With Love stamp set.    I layered the two panels I die cut and used some foam tape to pop these up from the center of the scalloped frame for some added dimension.  Everything was softly inked distressed using the same Antique Linen ink.  For the little fishtail flags I used some striped pattern paper from the same paper pad since the inspiration photo has some stripes as well.  I die cut those using Verve's Banner Bundle die set.   I added a few of Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix to the card.   I decided the corner of the doily needed to be curved over a little to add some visual interest to the top corner.   To comply with The Card Concept Challenge I would have to say that this card is Freestyle Collage.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

I have another card to share today.  I am playing along with MFT Color Challenge, CAS(E) this Sketch #105, and Seize the Birthday.
I started with MFT smooth white, Lemon Drop, and tropical teal  card stock.  I die cut the tropical teal panel with Blueprints 13.  I stamped the Happy Birthday background using Smooth White pigment ink.  Next, I stamped the image from You Have My Heart  stamp set using Hybrid Licorice Black ink on Neenah Solar White card stock.  I colored with copics.  I used colors that worked with the color combo.  I die cut the panel after I colored it using Tag Builder Blueprints 3.  I used some foam tape to pop it up onto the tropical teal background.  I used the larger heart that comes in the set to die cut the lemon drop.  I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Birthday Greetings stamp set.  I finished the card with some sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
