Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC74), CC278,and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC74)! Maki Jones is our challenge host this week. Maki is getting us all in gear with a theme challenge. We are celebrating Christmas in July! No explanation necessary for this theme. Just have fun and make something festive! While Flourishes stamps are not required, if you have them, by all means use them! We would love to see what you create.

For my card I am using Flourishes  All That Glitters for the outside and Christmas Wreath for the sentiments on the inside.  Flourishes also has a monthly Christmas Spirit Challenge(FLLCNOEL3) monthly at our SCS Forum.  This month's is for a song!  Mine is "Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"      In addition to the Flourishes challenges, this card is also for a few other challenges.  It is for today's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC278)!  Baja Razzleberry Saffrons!  So rich and decadent these hues!  A little different from your standard Christmas colors, but I think they totally work!  Check out the link to find out how to play and about the dessert option!

I stamped and embossed the ornaments and sponged colored with like inks.  One ornament is embossed in white the other in gold.  I cut out and added dimensionals to create depth.  I used some gold cording, gold pearls, crystal effects, cb ef, and texturz plates.  Along with some satin ribbon, Spellbinders, and Prima flowers.  Flourishes classic ivory cardstock!  I used SU so saffron, rich razzleberry, and baja breezes cardstocks.  SU flower punch, glue dots, dimensionals, and so dimension tape.

This card is also for the following chalenges
The Shabby Tea Room(TSTR17)!  It is all about embossing, heat or dry!  I did both!
Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C44) to use two or more ribbons!
Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge(MMSC61).  The simple version.  I guessed and ended up totally morphing the two options from the sneak peak...hope that is okay.
Fussy and Fancy Challenge 14! They are celebrating Christmas in July, too!

Check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with the Christmas in July Challenge!

As Always, thanks so much for stopping by!

I just have to share a Moment with Colors with you!  While I gravate to all companies who sell cardstock and do not mind using various brands provided they meet my standard for cardstock in general.  I do have issues with some inks.  Not all inks work beautifully with clear stamps.  Saying this, I would like to mention that NOT all clear stamps are created equal, either.  At Flourishes only the highest quality of photopolymer is used.  If you have been disappointed in clear stamps in the past there could be two reasons why.  One, not all companies use photopolymer. And, two, the ink.  Many rubber inks do not work with clear stamps.  For example, while I love Stampin Up cardstocks, their ink does NOT work with clear stamps.  Alternate inks must be used.  I have combined a little chart for myself that I thought I would share with you all to aid in buying alternate inks.  I have listed some of the new and returning favorites of SU cardstock colors that I happen to have coordinating ink pads for.  There are several more that I need to get and I will share when I know which ones work/coordinate.  I would like to mention that there may be other inks that match, but these are the ones that I have.  You can click on the picture to make it larger and easier to read.  Please let me know if this Moments with Colors post has been helpful to you in any way!  Thanks so much!  I am using one of the solid images in  the Flourishes Thinking of You set to stamp the ink color that coordinates closely to the cardstock.

Starting at the top left----all these inks listed are currently available at Flourishes!
Marina Mist= Ranger Stormy Sky (perfect match to me)
Pacific Point= Memento Bahama Blue (perfect match to me)
Pear Pizzazz= Memento New Sprout (perfect match to me)
Cherry Cobbler= Memento Rhubarb Stalk  (very close...maybe slightly lighter)
Riding Hood Red= Memento Rhubarb Stalk (very close)
Poppy Parade= Memento Lady Bug (perfect match to me)
Early Expresso= Memento Rich Cocoa (perfect match to me)
Peach Parfait=Ranger Dried Marigold (reinker available) (perfect match to me)

  25. Beautiful, Betty, I love the embossed ornaments!! And the color combination is stunning also!!
I am curious about the inks, I used SU's ink today for an acrylic sentiment stamp, and it worked well.
But most of the time, I use versafine or mementos...and am happy to see the variety of colors Flourishes carries! Thanks for sharing your chart!
