Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Going Batty!

It is time for another Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a Guest Designer in an upcoming challenge!

I decided to use the picture itself as inspiration.   I loved how the leaves and the house blur in the background to create a beautiful blend of autumn colors.  I decided to use the smooshing technique to achieve this blurry effect.  I started with Ranger Scattered Straw ink.  I pressed the ink pad to a piece of acetate and spritzed with water.   I alternated between smooshing the acetate onto the watercolor paper or watercolor paper onto the acetate depending on the concentration of color I was trying to achieve.    I used my heat gun to dry the colors in between.  Next, I did the same with Ranger Peeled Paint ink.   To get some darker tones of the scattered straw I used the refill and put drops onto the acetate and lightly spritzed with water for a more concentrated color effect.   I die cut and stamped PTI Graceful Greetings with hybrid black licorice ink.  I added some foam dimensionals with loose threading behind.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
