Happy Thursday! I am playing along with this month's
The first thing I thought of when I saw the inspiration photo was that sure is a lot of greens! I love green! Green is actually my favorite color.
Here is the inspiration photo.
I tried the techniques Jennifer McGuire showcased HERE the other day doing watercolor lifting. I really LOVE the look and effect. To emphasize all of the circle elements in the photo, I die cut this panel using Scene It: Basic Backer die and popped it up on some foam tape with some loose threading circling behind. I really love the variations of greens and nuances of the watercolor lifting. A great technique!
Next, I die cut and stamped the Peonies on Parade
flowers and leaves onto watercolored paper and white heat embossed. I
colored with some Ranger Distress inks. I made sure to use some
different tones on the leaves than I did on focal circle to play off of the different hues of greens in photo.I popped the flower up with some foam tape. I tucked in the leaves. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
As always thanks so much for hopping by!
Betty
