Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC94) and MORE!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC94)!  This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck! We cannot wait to see what you create with it!
I am somewhat late with my FTTC card.  I guess better late than never!  I am having some computer issues.  They are not totally straightened out yet, but it is better than not being able to load at all.  I am using Flourishes Seasonal Wreathes and Christmas Classics (sentiment) stamp sets. I stamped the berry wreathe in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection using Dusty Rose.  I used a glue pen to add spots of glue on some of the berries to add some glitter accenting.  I decided the wreathe need a few tiny hearts to compliment the sentiment.  I used my MS heart border punch and added the tiny hearts that are made from the punch outs in the border.   I layered my card with Webster's Pages Waiting For Santa and Sweet Seasons and Memory Box Tinsel.   I am using the colors from Mona Pendleton's CR84FN5.  I lightly sponged all of the edges with camomile ink.  I also used two different colors of thread when I stitched.  One in ivory and one in chocolate.  This two toned sewing tip I picked up at Mona's blog.

This card is for a few more blog challenges! Pile It On: Winter Means:  Christmas decorating! Paper Romance:  Favorite Things (BOWS, seam tape, dp, gold pearls)!Scrappy Frog:  Christmas! Creative Inspiration:  Christmassy!  Simon  Says:  Sparkle!  A Spoon Full of Sugar:  Anything Goes!  If the Shoe Fits:  Sparkle and Shine! RRR:  Christmas Theme! Frosted Designs:  Distressing! Meljen's:  Sparkle and Shine Ellephantastic:  Christmas! OSAAT: Christmas Season!

Be sure to check out the blog team designers to see what they created with the sketch!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD17) and MORE!

It is time for Our Daily Bread Designs  Stamping In Time Challenge(SNTODBD17)!  The assignment is ODBD stamps.   The challenge this time is a technique. I am challenging you to the Emboss Resist Technique! Any of the ODBD images can work for this technique. We would love to see you come up with creative ways to incorporate ODBD frames, sentiments, and scriptures into the technique design. We would love to see what you create using Our Daily Bread Design stamps!

I am using  ODBD  Path of Life and Happy Birthday stamp sets.  I am mixing some of the older and newer spellbinders nestabilities.  I layered two patterns from the Memory Box Enchanted paper pack which coordinated with the color cardstocks I used beautifully. I stamped the scene from Path of Life using versamark.  I used black embossing powder to emboss the scene image.  I then used coordinating inks to create my sponged emboss resist sunset.  I finished with some silver pearls and satin bow.

Check out what  Angie and Connie  created using ODBD stamps with the emboss resist technique.

I told you all I am have been enjoying playing in blog challenges lately!  I am playing in a few first challenges for me with this card.  Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge 45   Anything that involves concord crush is just lush and I am not really a purple lover.  I think this is my first ever Mojo Monday(MOJO154) sketch card.  I cannot believe it myselfBelli Challenge 99 "old stamps and old stuff" ; Incy Wincy Designs Challenge 56 buttons and bows ; Stamping Vacation Challenge is to pick three from the list.  I chose a frame, string(tie my tags on with), and yellow sun! ; Simon Says Stamp and Show your Layers! This is a new challenge for me, too.  I hope I have enough layers! ; The Creative Cottage Challenge 22 Celebrations! ; and Really Reasonable Ramblings(RRR6)!  Flowers and Ribbons!  I have a flower border, flowers in the focal image, and a floral background dp.   I even added a little flower punch over my button.  Of course, I have some ribbon!

It is time to start working on your Christmas cards and no better time than with a challenge. I also layered some spellbinders nestabilities and the lotus flower. I with some dotted sheer ribbon, gold pearls, and buttons. I am using Jen's sketch at I {heart} 2 stamp. I have also combined this card with a few other challenges. The Color Throwdown #100 is celebrating 100 challenges. I am also playing again in The Shabby Tea Rooms challenge #17 Embossing. Unity Friends with Flair! Shabby Tea Room#16 and Midnight Madness(MMSC60)!

This card is for today's Unity's Friends with Flair!   I had a little bit of time to stamp once I got home from the movies.  I went to see the latest Twilight movie last night with a group of people.  It was fabulous!  I was alittle wired to say the least.  I came home and whipped up a couple of cards.  For both of my cards I am using Unity's Ippity stamp set called The Simple Things.  I am using the same sentiment on both.   I chose to use two of the three stemmed images that come in this set.    I am using October Afternoon Thrift Store on the first one and Memory Box Jubilee on the second card.

I decided to combine my cards with The Shabby Tea Rooms Week #16  color challenge.  To use some turquoise, pink, and bright green.  Both cards use these colors, but the patterns and ratios of colors are quite different.  The top one uses more muted turquoise and pink and less green, while the second one uses more bright green, turquoise, and touches of pink on the leaves.  I am also using the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge(MMSC60) for both cards.

Unity Flair!

I have the Unity Friends with Flair Blinkie!  WooHoo!  You found it!  Leave a comment and I will pick one winner and announce here on my blog tomorrow morning and at the SCS Unity Friends with Flair thread who won.  Edited with Winner Information:  The winner is Chriss Blagrave!  Congrats, Chriss.  Please email Jimmi at jimmi.mayo@gmail.com.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC54), CC258, and OCC!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC54)! This week Dee Jackson is our host! Dee is challenging us to " All About Me". Use what you love and what makes you happy!! Use your favorite colors, stamps, layout, and embellishments! Whatever ROCKS your world! We would love to see what you create!

For my card I am using Flourishes Spring Ephemerals, Clouds Background, and Falling Leaves (sentiment) stamp sets.  For the All About Me challenge these are the items that I love that I chose to use on my card.

-I chose soft suede because it is my favortite in color this year.

-I chose three different spellbinders because I love some spellbinder die cuts.
-I chose a solid image stamp.  I really love solid image stamps.  If I have to choose those are my "go to" images.
-I love to rock and roll solid image stamps. Favorite technique to add depth of colors.I am also using Memory Box Gossamer dp which is the first pack of dp I have purchased where I believe I love every single piece in the pack.  The soft hues with tonal patterns.  Some even have my favorite script text.
-I also am using a layered border punch.  I LOVE to layer border die cuts or punches.
-I also created a card with many layers and piled it high because I LOVE layers!   I love Flourishes classic cardstocks.  I am using the ivory here.  It comes in white and ivory.  Wonderful stuff!
-I added some tiny butterfly punches because these just work all of the time.   I finished with many gold pearls.  GOT to have my gold pearls!

Now to comply with the OCC challenge this week.   Something old that is new again!  Technically to use something that we bought that has NOT seen much loving.  Well, I have to say that would be my perfect plum and pale plum ink pads and cardstocks.  I think this was the first time I used the ink pads.  Maybe not...just not sure...kwim?  I have to say these colors mixed with soft suede are just gorgeous!  Oh,I must mention that these are the colors I chose for this week's SCS Color Combo Challenge (CC258)!    We are using Soft Pale Plums!  Soft Suede, Pale Plums, and Perfect Plums!   Sound fabulous, doesn't it?  This week's dessert option is to add a critter.  A bird, a butterfly, or other critter of choice.  I added my tiny butterflies!

Please check out the FOF Blog Team Designers for more"All About Me" card designs!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  Your comments are greatly appreciated!  I will definitely try to return them, too!
