Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!

Happy Tuesday! It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC120)!  Cindy is the challenge host this week.  Cindy is challenging us to a color combo.  We are using cranberry, caramel, dark gray or brown.  These are wonderful colors with lots of possibilities.  We would love to see what you create!  

For my card I am using Flourishes Thank You and Country Charm Labels sets.  Flourishes Thank You set is one of my first Flourishes sets and is still one of my favorites.  I just love this tulip image and the script stamp background.  I am using Flourishes Classic ivory cardstock.  I colored my image with Flourishes Copic Color Collections.  I stenciled inside the oval die with Ranger antique linen.  I used one of the pennant strips from Nested Lacey Pennants for the sentiment tag.  I am using the sketch from Your Next Stamp Challenge!

I had a bit of time to stamp for fun today! WooHoo! Of course, there are things around the house that I could have done, but I really needed to stamp!

This card is for Verve's VLVSep2010 Home Inspiration Sketch Challenge.

This is the room I chose as my inspiration!

I am also doing The Corrosive Blog Challenge for the GUYS! This week we are make a card for the guys! Goodness that is so hard for me. I still added my fou fou bow and a butterfly. The butterfly is marine mist and only sports one gold pearl so I am thinking it can be a manly butterfly. The bow is brown? This is about as manly as I can get I am thinking.  This card is also for Speedy the Cats Friend Challenge #18!

I like to cheat the nesties from time to time to get more bang for my buck.  I am using the new lacey squares, but I needed a rectangle.  So, I cut out two and pieced together.  You really cannot tell and I think it looks great!  Thrilled about this look!

PTI Girly, You ROCK...Disco Tote Card! (IC232)!

This card is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge(IC232)! Awesome site, Stef! Here is the Disco Bag Graphic Love I used for my inspiration!  I tried to recreate the look because that is so fun to do with stamps!  Once you check out the bag you will see why my card is so...well...funky! No dp was used in the making of my circle tote postcard!

I started with some white cardstock and some true black cardstock!  I dusted off my CM circle cutting systems largest circles and cut out the white with the red cutter and the black with the green cutter.  I stamped the white circle with PTI Background Basics: Woodgrain, In Bloom, Polka Dot Basics II using various colors to recreate the look in the disco bag.  I die cut the flower and leaves for the Delightful Dahlia set and stamp the images.  I colored with copics.  I then die cut the butterfly and stamped with one of the butterfly images from the Butterfly Dreams set.  I used the Mat Stack #1 die cut to cut out the opening in the top of the card/tote to look like a handle.  Since the black background is larger it creates a bit of a shadow ridge along the base and sides of the card/tote.  I faux stitched the edge and added to sparkly black brads to look like bag in photo.  I did opt to show way more flower and dimension than the bag, plus I opted for the butterfly to add my sentiment from the Signature Greetings set!  I know it is different, but it was so FUN to do!

Thinking of You!

This card is for today's SCS Feature Stamper Challenge (FS166)! Congratulations, Pat! Here is the card I chose to case!  This card is also for yesterday's SCS Inspiration Challenge(IC227)!  Be inspired by the state you live! I live in North Carolina. Our state bird is the Cardinal. I used some Webster Pages dp for my background. The blue one is a ocean scene with fish and a shipwreck. The red one sea shells.  There is much history off of North Carolina's Coast. One of the First Original Colonies. We were also first in Flight! The Wright Brother's flew the first plane at Kitty Hawk, NC! My clustering of flowers represent all of the flower and blooming festivals we have in our state from May thru October!

I am using ODBD Sing for Joy and Thinking of You stamp sets. This card is also for ODBD Shining the LIght Challenge(ODBDSLC8) and ODBD Stamping In Time SNTODBD7!

For Pat's card, I kept an animal/bird as focal point.  I sort of kept the layout.  I moved the flowers from right side to the left.  I changed colors.

Blessed Christmas!

This card is for today's SCS Sketch Challenge(SC255)! Thanks Roxie and Chat for a great sketch. It is also for yesterday's SCS Color Challenge(CC245)! Always Real Chocolate! What can I say? I really love these colors!

I am using one of ODBD new releases this month called Blessed Christmas. For this image I pretty much used my pure poppy ink pad to the poinsettia and my new leaf ink spot to the ivory leaves and some of the tips of the poinsettia. I love this noncolored rocked and rolled look.

I softened up the ivory cardstock a bit with some ranger antique linen ink. I added my bow, button, gold pearls, and gold curly que to finish my card.

Since the Martha Stewart new border punches came out, I have been trying to get a few. I have had this one a few weeks and could not figure out how to use it for it to look right on my card. I ended up layer two sections opposite each other so I have this wonderful opened scalloped edge of the top and bottom. Totally love it this way!

I have been having some blog issues. It seems my blog page does not load correctly and some people are not able to comment if and when it does load. I am trying to fix this. Thanks so much for stopping by!
