Heartfelt!

Today's card is today's SCS Sketch Challenge(SC250) and yesterday's SCS Color Challenge(CC240)! Thanks so much Roxie and Emily. For the color challenge we are to use chocolate chip, bermuda bay, and appricot appeal.

For my card, I am using of
ODBD new October Releases called With Heartfelt Sympathy. I love this cattail image and I think it is a great image to make manly cards for all kinds of occasions. While I thought these colors would make a great man, card, I think my addition of two rows of sheer ribbon and bow detailing may have girled it up a bit. Hey...I never know where a card will end up when I start making it.

I vintage my card up quite a bit. For what use to look like appricot appeal panel, I sponged the edges with some ranger vintage photo ink. I balled it up, opened it flat and sponged again across the top to highlight the creases a bit. I used a sewing machine to pierce the edges. I used a permanent marker for the faux stitching.

I sponged the bermuda bay with Adirondack pool which is a very close match to this color. I also added a bit of vintage photo ink to dirty it up a bit.

I colored the little trio of cattails with copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I lightly sponged these ivory panels with Ranger antique linen and vintage photo.

I finished my card with brown sheer polka dot ribbon using the mini bowdabra. I added a button with gold cording and a gold pearl to the top. I have issues with button holes so I try to cover those up.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!!! Your comments are always greatly appreciated!!!
