I am so excited today to be posting a special Birthday Wish to Our Daily Bread designs owner, Kelley Holland! This is a very special birthday for Kelley, as it's the BIG 50!
Some of us on the Design Teams have gotten together a Birthday Blog Hop for Kelley, and a special gift as well. We're so happy to have you join us on this hop and we hope you will visit each post and leave a comment, because some of the DT members have BLOG CANDY hidden along the way!
If you just arrived here from the wonderfully talented Sabrina's blog you are in the right place. If not, you may want to start at the ODBD Blog!
- You have until 8pm EDT Oct. 8th to leave a comment on each blog
- The team members who have the candy will be drawing names from those who commented on their post, announcing it on the 10th of October!
- There will also be an announcement here on the ODBD Blog on Oct 10, telling who had the blog candy and who were the chosen winners. You will need to check that post and notify the Design Team member within 48 hours if you won one of the candies!
For my card I went a little vintage "Betty" style. I chose to make a 5.5 square. Not done that size much in the past year or so. Sometimes I love combining stamps, dies, and embossing plates to create a look. Doing this requires at times a larger surface area, hence the larger size card. I am using several items from ODBD NEW Store Website!
I am using ODBD Serve the Lord stamp set for the focal image. I chose to use just the center portion and die cut it out. I colored with copics. I added the Crocheted
Circle die behind it just die cut with cream card stock with ink distressed edges. For the border on the left side of the card, I used Porch vintage border stamp inked with a coordinating tonal ink and die cut with the Vintage Border die. For the focal medallion background, I die cut two of the Cheery Lynn Kiwi Doily die in scarlet jewel card stock. Instead of cutting out all the little details, I went with a more embossed look. I scored and formed it and glued it behind the focal image. I finished with sewing machine stitching, seam binding bow topped with button and gold memory thread curly ques.
For the sentiment, I opted to use a piece cut out of one of the sheets from the designer paper pack I am using called We are Memory Keepers Antique Chic!
I must say this sentiment says it all for me! Happy 50th Birthday, Kelley! I am so very blessed to not only know you but have the opportunity to work on one of your teams. You are truly an inspiration and one of the hardest working women I know. Your service to God through this company by creating a product so many use to create cards and such to not only bless others but also spread the Love of Jesus is just awe inspiring. So, while you are celebrating this major milestone in your life, truly know that you are LOVED and the World is a Better Place because of YOU!
Love you! Have a Wonderful Day and
Blessings for a Fabulous Year!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
Next up on the hop is the super talented Lori!
