My first card combines the Clear Stamp of the Month "Sending Floral Wishes"  with the July Card Kit, Damask Daydream. I stamped the large floral image from Sending Floral Wishes stamp set  several times onto black card stock using versamark ink and clear embossed.  I trimmed the panel and added it to a top folding black card stock base.

I used the frame die included in the July Card Kit and die cut it twice to make the completed frame.  I added one of the included layered butterfly stickers. The sentiment comes from the July Card Kit stamp set as well. I die cut it using the coordinating die also included in the Card Kit.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

My second card again combines the Clear Stamp of the Month with the July Card Kit.  I stamped the large image from the Clear stamp of the Month one time onto a Bristol smooth watercolor card stock using versamark and white embossing.  I used distress reinkers in kitsch flamingo and picked raspberry to watercolor the flowers and leaves.  I used hickory smoke for the leaves.  I mixed the hickory smoke with water and used an artist brush to add splatters. I set the panel aside to dry.

I stamped the same large flowers onto a white card stock base using misty coast ink and softly ink blending the edges with the same color.  I stamped a scripted background using the same color to add more texture. I added a strip of gray card stock to the left of the panel and popped up the panel on the card base.  I stamped the sentiment using the stamp set from the July Card Kit with versamark and white embossed.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

For my third card, I combined the Clear Stamp of the Month with the July Glimmer Hot Foil Kit. I stamped the large floral image onto white card stock several times using versamark ink and gold embossed.  I layered the panel with a piece of gold foiled card stock.  I added the panel to a top folding white card stock base. I foiled the gold frame from this month's glimmer kit, Nested Glimmer Dots.  Instead of using it as a frame, I wanted to showcase it used a border.

For the focal image, I stamped the floral image first in memento tuxedo black ink and Copic markers to color.  I used my mini misti for this and left the image on the door.  Once the image was colored, I put the panel back into the mini misti and stamp with versamark ink and gold embossed. (Embossed images can damage the tips of Copic markers, so I stamp first then emboss later). I die cut the floral image using a circle die. I stamped the sentiment from the same Clear Stamp of the Month set.  I used the More Sentiments Glimmer set to die cut the sentiment. I arranged the elements on the card.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

Let me know which card is your favorite and why!

  3. Number two just edges out the others. What I loved about the first was the brightness; about the second the beautiful colors of the flowers (distress reinkers) to the juxtaposition of the white outline; and about the third is the geometric mats and layering of the flowers that are just background layout to the front painted flowers. Great tip about the Copic markers and embossing!

  11. I like the white embossing & coloring of the flower on the 1st card but overall I would have to say the 2nd card. They are both beautiful and I would use either for sure.
