Merry Christmas!

Hello friends!  I have a card to share today playing along with a few challenges.

I created my first Christmas card of the season.  I went with some nontraditional Christmas colors. I am using Simon Says Stamps Winter Floral Layering Stencils and Joyful Season stamp set for the sentiment. I started with white card stock.  For the flowers I ink blended slumber ink with a touch of sapphire ink in the centers. For the pine needles, I used sapphire ink. For the leaves, I used meadow ink and emerald city inks.  I trimmed the panel down and used foam tape to add to a top folding white card stock base.

To add some depth and dimension to the stencil image, I colored with  C1 Copic Marker to add shadow around the leaves and flowers.  I really love this look as it makes the image pop more and give the illusion of dimension.

For the sentiment, I used Joyful Season stamp set.  I stamped with versamark ink onto white card stock and white embossed.   I ink blended more of the meadow ink and emerald city inks around the sentiment.  I die cut the panel with Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle Infinity dies. I used foam tape to add dimension to the sentiment. I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

Here is a list of many of the products I generally
use every time I make a card.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. I do love your colours and how you have added dimension by outlining the flowers to give a shadow effect, it really works, I must remember to try it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Christmas Kickstarter this month xx
