Celebrate JOY!

Hello friends! I have two Christmas cards to share today.  One uses traditional Christmas colors and the other one nontraditional colors.

Today, I am using Concord and 9th Deck the Halls turnabout stamp  with the All For You Dies.  I started with white card stock.  I followed the turnabout stamp instructions and set up the turnabout jig in my MISTI.  For the first card, I used traditional Christmas colors using Candy Apple, Evergreen, Simply Chartreuse, and versamark with gold embossing.

For the second card, I used nontraditional Christmas colors using Concord and 9th, stardust, peacock, aqua sky, and honeysuckle inks.

Did you know that YOU can spell JOY backwards?  I am using All For You Dies.  This is one way to get more use from your die sets.

With just a little snip with scissors, you can have JOY!  I started with two panels of white card stock and ink blended candy apple ink on one and stardust ink on the other.  I die cut using the All For You Dies.   I die cut a few more to layer together using white card stock.  I glued the letters and ink blended around the edges the same colors.

Once the background and sentiment were in place, I used an artist brush with black acrylic paintwhite acrylic paint (on red card), and Starry Colors  to add splatters.  I diecut the word "celebrate" from the All For You Dies using gold glitter card stock and white card stock to layer for added dimension.

I added the panels to top folding white card bases.
with foam tape I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

So, do you prefer the traditional Christmas colors or the nontraditional Christmas card?

Here is a list of many of the products I generally
use every time I make a card.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Oh my word these are both fabulous! Love the traditional and non-traditional color schemes, I can't/won't pick. Wonderful tip about the word "you" for joy too, clever and resourceful! These are so inspiring and filled with splendor! Thank you for sharing @ IB this week!
