It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC97)! This week Maki Jones is our challenge host! Maki is challenging us to a theme! The theme is all about food and drink! Create a card or project that showcases some yummy treats either real or stamped! We look forward to seeing what delicious looking creations you make!

For the food and drink challenge, I decided to have alittle bit of fun with one of my Christmas favorites. I just love the chalky textured peppermint sticks. The only place locally I can find them is at the Cracker Barrel. One day last week, my son and I did the drive through thing at a local restaurant called Smithfield's Barbeque! We decide to share a small french fry. The fries were served in this fabulous red and white container. As soon as I saw it, the lightbulb went off. I thought "peppermint fries!" I went buy the other day and was only charged alittle over a buck for more than a dozen. How cool is that? I am using the Flourishes Sweets of the Seasons for the candy cane cluster and sentiment. I layered the image with a Spellbinder's lacey circle and used some tissue paper and the project was done.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC79)! This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!! We cannot wait to see what you create with it!
This card is also for SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC283)! This week it is all about Baja Poppy Cakes! The dessert option you must read to believe! LOL! Check out the link to play along with us!
For my card I am using Flourishes Lace Heart and Beauty Within stamp sets! I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock, gingham ribbon, and Memento lady bug and rhubarb inks. I am also playing Flourishes release challenge Kids at Play (FLLCAUG10)! I layered various textures and bling detailing. I stamped my lace heart, used crystal effects, then added some more flourished bling. My sentiment may me think of playing Hide and Go Seek game because you have to listen with your heart. It is so quiet and dark. Then, after my card was complete, with the blue flourished bling coming from the peak of the heart, it made me think of a kite. So, that is another fun kid's game.
Check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with the sketch!
It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time on Assignment Challenge SNTODBD9! The Assignment is to use any ODBD stamps! The Challenge is “A Little Something Something!” Make a card or project using something “old” something “new,” and something “received!” Other stuff can be used, of course, but tell us about these three!
For my card, I am using ODBD The Lord is Risen stamp set. I am using Mercy Tuesday Sketch Challene MTSC72! I am using some gem flourished accenting for the swirl element on the sketch. I am also using a decorative pin for today's SCS Ways to Use it Challenge(WT269)! I added one Martha Stewart butterfly punch to it. For my "new" item, I created the layered distressed flower using Flower Soft. This is a new product for me. I was playing around with it and wanted to try to use it differently than what I have seen. I was not going for a perfect looking covered flower....one that was more crushed and distressed. I love the way my distressed and very textural flower turned out. I may need to get more colors of this stuff. Can you imagine a deep red to create a poinsettia look for Christmas? Lots of possibilities! This card is also for this week's The Shabby Tea Room: "Get Your Bling On" Challenge #8! Definitely got some bling going on!
For the something old, I am using some pink pirouette cs and some left over bella rose dp. I am so happy that even though these are "old" the colors will soon be revived! For my something "received," I am using one of two lace trims that sparklegirl(Silke) sent me. This one is a crisp, very intricate white! I thought it worked perfectly with the delicate printed papers and the pink pirouette color to allow the flower element to pop a bit. Thanks, Silke! As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
