Let's Shell-ebrate! It's Your Birthday!

Happy Wednesday!  I finally had a chance to play in my craft room!  My son and I spent the better part of three days cleaning out the garage.  It was hot, buggy, and messy!  Did I mention that I am not fond of bugs?   Anyway, I carved out some time yesterday, to craft.

I am playing along with this week's Make It Monday Challenge and The Paper Players 400th Challenge.

For the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge, we are to create an ombre watercolor background.  I used strathmore watercolor paper. I blended ranger distress oxide inks for the background in blueprint sketch and peacock feathers.

For my ocean elements, I used Papertrey Ink's Salt Air: Flora stamp set Salt Air: Fauna stamp set, and Salt Air Sentiments Mini stamp set for my card.  These stamps may very well be some of my favorite images.  I know....I love flowers, too, but these ocean images are fun to stamp and create. There are so many details!  Plus, I have nothing like them in my collection.

I added some sparkle splatters using my Winsor Newton Watercolor Iridescent Medium.  I set the panel to the side to dry.  Next, I die cut one of the Keep It Simple Frame dies with watercolor paper and stamped the sentiment in versafine onyx black ink then clear embossed.

I popped this watercolor panel onto a PTI select white card stock base using foam tape.  I finished my card with a few clear sequins.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
