Happy Friday! School is out for the Summer! Today is my first day home! WooHoo! Naturally, I automatically woke up early, so I made a cup of coffee and went straight to my craft room. Fun Times! I am playing along with this month's Papertrey Ink's Create Along With Us June 2018 Challenge.
I chose Betsy Veldman's card for my inspiration.
You can find more of her card details HERE.
I have many of the background die cuts and papers Betsy used, but wanted to change it up a bit while still using the same colors, layout, and look.
I used PTI select white card stock base. I die cut a Bold Borders: Shine die in true black card stock twice and glued together for added definition. I inlaid a few spaces with same color for added effect. I die cut another true black card stock panel using the Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical die.
I used Corner Adorners: February Mini stamp set and Corner Adorner: February die. I stamped the images using the same inks as Betsy. I used Raspberry Fizz, Scarlet Jewel, New Leaf, Harvest Gold, Saffron Spice inks. I popped up a couple of the flowers using some foam tape.
I stamped in versamark and white embossed the sentiment from Penned Elegance stamp set. This month's Corner Adorner is beautiful and has some lovely white spaces in the flowers. To mimic this, I added some white dots here and there using my white gel pen. I also got carried away and added them around the edges of the flowers, too. Can one have too many white dots? LOL!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
This is beautiful! I love seeing pink and black together.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, your Corner Adorner is stunning against the black BG. I‘ve got to try this...TFS!
ReplyDeleteYou make such beautiful cards! I always like seeing what you've come up with.
